An [Unplanned] Hiatus

Goodness me! I haven't blogged since JANUARY. To my (3-4) readers...sorry about that. I guess life just...happened.

Needless to say, a lot has occurred over the last several months.

First and foremost, Michael accepted a head football coaching position at a 2A high school back in Iowa. I could not be more proud of him! His dream of coaching football has come true, and he is already working his tail off this summer to produce good results this fall. That also meant we got to move back to our favorite state and live closer to family...a win/win!

My parents have been kind enough to let us clutter up crash at their place until we can move into our new home mid-July. We still have yet to sell our current home in Kansas, but are praying diligently that it will sell soon. I'm seeking the Lord hourly with this situation and know that He has a good and perfect plan in place for us. In His timing, He keeps reminding me.

Our [large] family just returned from a fabulous and relaxing vacation to South Carolina. My parents and siblings, Michael's parents and siblings, and other extended family all shared a house together (we fit 26 people in one house!) and spent every day at the pool or the beach [often both!]. We had good food, good fellowship, and made lasting memories. We're all chomping at the bit to head back.

The last bit of exciting news is that James turns ONE in just a few short weeks. I keep asking myself how on earth this is possible...wasn't it just last week that he was born?! We plan to have a low-key party for the J-Man. I like simple. I will post his stats after his 1 year appointment. One thing is for certain-he's sweet as pie and growing like a weed! Love that boy.

His ears must've been burning, knowing I was talking about him as he just woke up from his nap! Pin It Now!

  1. Glad to see a new blog post and word is out on the street that your parents have enjoyed your time at their home while you wait for all of the paperwork on your new home to be completed. Hugs to all of you and a big Happy Birthday to the J-Man!

I adore hearing from you lovely readers! You brighten my day (that is, if you leave a nice comment). I will try my best to write back to each one of you, but regardless, your comments mean so much.
