it's the most wonderful time of the year.

Holiday traditions...
there are so many wonderful traditions that I could ramble on about,
but in order to keep it within 2-3 minutes,
I only mentioned a few.
(notice my awesome face in the thumbnail below? ridiculous.)

Oh, and this was recorded on Tuesday, so in response to my excitement over the big snow storm...YES! It did happen!
Looks like we'll have a white Christmas around here,
and that makes me so happy.

What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?

  1. Okay, so I just finished up tomorrow's post -- and I talk about how I am sooo not into baking this year! Hahahahaha.

Christmas Eve Candlelight service is my favorite, too. Maybe my most favorite thing about Christmas.

I like opening presents one at a time ... my family has always done it that way, and I completely agree with what you say about it making the morning more special. :)

    <3 you, friend!

    1. Oh my goodness, I haven't baked a single thing this year. :( So awful...but seriously, where has the time gone?! I swear just a few weeks ago it was Halloween, and now it's Christmas! I'll definitely have to check out your post. :)

      Have a wonderful weekend, friend!

  2. Some of our traditions: We always watch Love Actually a few weeks before Christmas (we first watched it together on our 2nd date about 3 weeks before Christmas). And we started a tradition last year that we buy our Christmas tree from a choose and cut place in NC with my in-laws - so fun! Plus we do the standard Christmas movies, baking, and decorating of course :)

    1. ohhhh Love Actually! I LOVE that movie - such a classic. I also love to watch "The Holiday" this time of year...
I've never done the "choose and cut" before (we have an artificial tree) but I would really love to have a real tree some year. We'll have to try that sometime! :)

      Have a wonderful Christmas!

  3. I love Candlelight services. There really is just something about them. I'm so excited for you to have all that snow! I love snow. The best we've gotten here in Alabama this year is some seriously cold wind. Not quite as fun ;)
We open gifts like that too! For me, I never could understand how people could all start opening at the same time! I love watching everyone and being able to thank the one who gave a gift to me as I opened it.
Thank you for linking up with us! I loved your vlog :) Merry Christmas!!

  5. Hi Kristin =) What a neat gift-opening tradition.
I love the candle-lit service. I haven't been to one in years... like 12 or 13... sad face. But I always loved them.

Coming to you from the link up. =)

    1. Hi Brooke!
Thanks so much for stopping by and saying hi! :)
I know, now that we have a little one, I don't think we'll be able to do the Candlelight service for awhile. :( At least I have good memories of it to hold me over until I can get back to it.

Have a wonderful holiday! I can't wait to swing by and check out your blog. <3

  9. I love candlelight services too... every other year we have a getaway with 5ohHubby's family and there is always a candlelight service. And I WISH I could have a white Christmas- but moving from Florida to California doesnt really allow for that haha. Glad you linked up pretty lady!

Bummer on the no snow on Christmas, but my GOODNESS, I'm jealous you get to live in such a beautiful (and warm!) climate.

  10. We go to candlelight services too, they are definitely so amazing. Love the candlelighting portion! And that's how my family opens gifts too, one at a time, switching off. I love doing it that way too, for exactly what you said, prolongs the process!

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas, and glad you got some snow :)

  11. Candlelight services are amazing. I consider it a huge blessing that I get to do that about 5 times a year at my church, for various things. SO amazing. :)

I linked up, too, over at graceforgayle.blogspot.com. Merry Christmas! xoxo

  12. Cute video! I live in the deep South right on the Gulf Coast. We didn't get any snow, but a tornado ran rampid through our city on Christmas day...random. Found you through the link-up and I look forward to getting to know you more! God bless.
