embrace the camera.

I am the picture taker in the family.

I love taking pictures.

Capturing those precious moments in time.

Reflecting on so much that has already happened in life.

Now, as much as I'd love for the pictures to be taken on my nice Canon that I got last year, it just isn't practical.

I still bust that sucker out from time to time, but let's be real here, I'm not going to lug my camera up to bathtime each night, just in case I might be able to capture that one shot.

After all, isn't that what the camera on my cell phone is for? (My father-in-law is absolutely CRINGING at this little fact.  Oops!)

Hey, at least I'm still documenting the day to day happenings...

I want to remember these special times that I share with my boy.

I'm tearing up as I type this, because I feel SO blessed and thankful that I get the priviledge of staying home with James.

The sacrifices Michael and I have had to make might not be easy, but they are well worth it.
These are treasured times, and I hear they go way to fast.

  6. I used to read that book that the quotation was from when I was younger. I am sure it will mean much more when I am a mother. My brother played school at a small private school in Iowa called Dordt College. Ever heard of it? Loving the blog.

  7. Hi Angela! Thanks so much for stopping by. I remember my parents reading the book to me when I was little and now it means so much more reading it to my baby...it's a classic, for sure! To answer your question, I most certainly have heard of Dordt. I know a few people that went there. Very neat! :)
