I remember curling up on my mom or dad's lap and listening to them read stories to me.
I remember watching their lips move to form each word that came out of their mouth. It was all so amazing to me (I suppose that was my teacher instinct coming out at an early age...).
When I found out I was pregnant, I knew I wanted to have a LOT of books readily available for baby K to read. Luckily, I had collected a pretty heavy load of children's books thanks to my 3 years of teaching first grade.
We also received several more baby/toddler board books at each baby shower.
Every day (often several times a day), I will find James sitting quietly flipping through books on his own.
It melts my heart.
He seems so sweet and innocent, curled up with a good book.

In our 14 months together, we have come to love all of his books, but have a special place in our heart for a certain 5 books (that we read A. LOT.)
