have a dream, make a plan, go for it.

all it took was one run...

one run to motivate and inspire me to get back into it again.

GOODNESS, have I missed it.

there's just something special about lacing up my old, worn down, shouldn't be wearing them running anymore shoes, putting my headphones on, pressing play on my ipod running mix, and hitting the pavement.

there's nothing like it (in my book).

so, the evening after my first run, I read this post...
 and then contacted Raechel immediately.
I am now a part of a rather large (52 people or so?) group of runners.
it made me even more excited to run.

accountability is a wonderful thing.

and to meet some great people along the way? count me in!

i'm excited to document my journey to another half marathon.

i'm sure there will be plenty of ups and downs along the way
(along with the dragging of my feet on those absolutely frigid days),
but regardless, it's going to be great.

half marathon in 2013?
let's do this.

  2. Way to go!! I know what you mean about running...there's really nothing like the feeling of a run, the beat of music moving you along, the endorphins afterwards! Not to mention, the lack of guilt you feel when you chomp a cupcake! I'm wanting to do another half marathon this year too. I'm looking for a fun one somewhere I've never been.

  3. Hey Kristen - So I meant to note the other day that you were in KC. Do you have family there? Both the hubs and I are from Overland Park originally and went to KU! Also, I could not agree more about this post. I try to run 4-5 days a week (sometimes in the winter the elliptical gets in the rotation), but if I miss even just a few days, that first run back feels SO good! Good luck on the half marathon! Hope you'll stop by and follow back!

  4. I couldn't agree with you more! Running changes my outlook on life and when I don't run for a long period of time I feel it! Which half marathon are you going to do?

I adore hearing from you lovely readers! You brighten my day (that is, if you leave a nice comment). I will try my best to write back to each one of you, but regardless, your comments mean so much.
